Swiss regtech company Indigita SA has joined the United Nations Global Compact — a voluntary leadership platform for the development, implementation, and disclosure of responsible business practices — as a full participant. As part of this initiative, Indigita has committed itself to embed the Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact into its strategies and operations, and to respect human and labour rights, safeguard the environment, and work against corruption in all its forms.

Launched in 2000, the UN Global Compact is the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative, with more than 15,000 companies and 3,800 non-business signatories based in over 160 countries, and more than 69 local networks. The initiative is a call to companies everywhere to align their operations and strategies with ten universally accepted principles in the areas of human rights, labour, environment, and anti-corruption, and to act in support of UN goals and issues embodied in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

By incorporating the Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact into its strategies, policies and procedures, and establishing a culture of integrity, Indigita is not only upholding its fundamental responsibilities to people and the planet, but also building the foundation for the company’s long-term success and contributing to the achievement of the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

To fulfil its commitment, Indigita will engage in collaborative projects related to good governance, transparency, and accountability, and will communicate its progress on an annual basis. This will include projects to foster diversity and inclusion, reduce the CO2 footprint of its technology operations, establish firm internal anti-corruption policies, and extend support for the execution of sustainable finance strategies as part of Indigita’s digital solutions.

Indigita CEO, Achille Deodato, said: “By joining the UN Global Compact, Indigita commits itself to taking the appropriate business actions that will allow our company to perform and grow in a sustainable manner, while making a positive contribution to the world we all live and work in.”
