Swiss regtech company Indigita SA has released a new e-Learning course focusing on the distribution of financial products in Switzerland. This online training is designed to educate financial professionals on the fundamental concepts related to the offering of financial products in Switzerland considering the Financial Services Aсt (FinSA) and the Swiss Collective Investment Scheme Act (CISA). The training has been developed in collaboration with BRP Bizzozero & Partners SA and is recognised by the SAQ Swiss Association for Quality.
Indigita’s new e-Learning course is intended for employees working at financial institutions as a refresher training. The course delves into the Swiss placement principles, emphasizing the critical importance for front office, compliance, central file, risk, and legal professionals to comprehend the placement of financial products in alignment with the Swiss Financial Services Act (FinSA) and the distribution of Collective Investment Schemes (CIS) in accordance with the Swiss Collective Investment Scheme Act (CISA) from the perspective of issuers.
The training is structured into five comprehensive chapters and starts with an overview of key definitions of financial services, instruments, and explanation of the circumstances under which the distribution of financial products can be recognised as an offering. The course provides a summary of key definitions related to financial product placement and analyses the distribution rules and principles of the Key Information Document (KID). It concludes by examining Collective Investment Schemes (CIS) and the pertinent Prospectus document, focusing on the perspective of the issuer.
The online training lasts approximately 30 minutes and concludes with a final assessment to confirm participants’ learning progress.
